Temporary staffing: coverage without the employment burden.

Temporary staffing through Valden means we recruit, verify, employ, insure, and payroll the worker — your team supervises the work. You pay one hourly bill rate for hours actually worked, covering wages, payroll taxes, workers' compensation, and our service. Billing starts at the first worked hour.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

How does temporary staffing billing work?

You pay one hourly bill rate per worker. That rate covers the worker's wages, payroll taxes, workers' compensation insurance, and Valden's service. There are no placement fees for temporary roles and no invoices until a worker's first hour is on the clock.

Who is the employer of record for temporary workers?

Valden Staffing is. Every temporary placement is our W-2 employee — we run payroll, withhold taxes, and carry workers' comp and unemployment insurance. Your company supervises the day-to-day work.

What is Valden's first-shift guarantee?

If a temporary worker isn't a fit within their first shift, you don't pay for that shift and your coordinator sends a replacement.
